Rodney N Walters

Rodney N. Walters is a retired real estate developer, investor, and broker. He lives on the Withlacoochee River on Florida’s Nature Coast. An avid fly fisherman, he has greatly enjoyed plying the serene in-shore waters of the Gulf of Mexico with his dog-friend, Beulah, the famous fishing dawg of Yankeetown, Florida. A voracious reader since childhood, he finally found time to put his characters and ideas on paper after leaving an active business career. Rodney has penned several novels in the thriller and contemporary fantasy genres and is always working on something new. He has been known to say, on occasion, that writing is really hard work, but way more fun than working for a living. His favorite authors are Sir Terry Pratchett, Robert Crais, Vince Flynn, Lee Childs, and Michael Connelly. Luther and the Lamppost is a co-author creation with his daughter, Melissa.

Dr. L. Melissa Walters is currently an Associate Professor at a prominent private Florida university. During her career, she has been a full-time professor at several universities and has taught a variety of subjects including business ethics and information security. She likes fishing, has studied Brazilian ju-jitsu, actively practices Hatha Yoga, and loves reading fiction into the early hours of the morning. Melissa has been making up and writing stories since grade school with primary proclivities for horror, suspense, and contemporary fantasy genres. When younger, her mother actually threatened to send her to see a psychiatrist because her stories were so eerie and weird. Her favorite authors are Sir Terry Pratchett, H. P. Lovecraft, E. A. Poe, Algernon Blackwood, and Barbara Michaels. Her favorite pastime is working on novels with her father.
